Bunion (hallux valgus)

A bunion, or hallux valgus, is a bony bump that forms on the joint at the base of your big toe. It occurs when the big toe pushes against the next toe, forcing the joint to protrude and become inflamed.

Common symptoms

  • A noticeable bump on the side of the big toe
  • Swelling, redness, or tenderness near the joint
  • Restricted toe movement
  • Pain while walking, especially in tight shoes

Our bunion treatment approach

  1. Custom orthotics — Reduce joint pressure and improve foot alignment.
  2. Wide-toe footwear — Prevents friction and supports natural toe position.
  3. Bunion pads & gel shields — Minimize irritation and discomfort.
  4. FootBalance 3D insoles — Molded to your exact foot profile.
  5. Night splints & bracing — Gently realign the toe during rest.
