Peroneal Tendonitis
Peroneal tendonitis is the inflammation or irritation of the peroneal tendons — two important tendons that run along the outside of your ankle and foot. These tendons help stabilize your foot and ankle and protect against ankle sprains.
Common symptoms
- Pain and swelling on the outside of the ankle or foot
- Pain that increases with activity
- Weakness or a feeling of instability when walking
- Pain that improves with rest but returns with motion
Our treatment approach
- Gait & pressure mapping — Identifies overloading on the outer foot.
- Custom orthotics — Reduce strain on the peroneal tendons.
- Ankle stabilizing braces
- FootBalance 3D-molded insoles
- Supportive footwear guidance
